Head of the Egyptian Tax Authority Mahmoud Mohamed Aly has affirmed that the tax season has successfully ended.  He said the tax collection has increased to 100 billion pounds and will play a pivotal role in the development plan outlined by President Mubarak at his election campaign.  He said the target collection for general taxes is  61 billion pounds and 29.5 billion pounds for sales taxes; however there are indications that the amounts will exceed the target range. )source: Al-Akhbar)
