Head of the Tax Authority Mahmoud Mohamed Aly has issued directives to map out a detailed plan for the upgrading of the tax department and complete the merge of the general tax and sales authorities in a matter of days. The work task dictates the recruitment of employees in both authorities  as dictated in a merge plan set  by the Ministry of Finance. The team will include employees in the taxpayers’ department, communication experts, training and development, financial and administrative affairs, information technology, legal affairs, quality control, auditing, collection and members from the model taxpayers’ center and employees assigned small and medium enterprises. Advisor to the Minister Seif el Din Katari will supervise the teams and send a report to Minister of Finance Dr. Youssef Boutros Ghali on the team performance. (source: Al-Gomhuriya)
