The Egyptian contractors federation has signed a cooperation agreement with the tax authority aimed at narrowing viewpoints among contractors and the tax authority to increase awareness regarding the role of the tax authority. The head of the federation explained that the aim of the protocol agreement is to expedite tax payment procedures and find a dramatic solution to bad debts among bad performing companies. He said the main aim is to avoid legal measures against contractors’ companies until after review by a joint committee of the tax authority and the contractors’ federation (source: Al-Aalam El youm)
