Head of the customs authority Galal Abul Fotouh reiterated that there is a detailed plan for controlling tax evasion which has flourished through loopholes in the old tax system.  Mr. Galal said that the new plan is an attempt to protect local industries from dishonest competition from smuggled goods into the local market particularly in the fields of ready-to-wear garments and textiles that have been  evading taxation.
