Minister of Finance Dr. Youssef Boutros Ghali has announced the formation of a plan to combat insurance evasion and the setting up of a department to be in charge of auditing and reviewing the public sector constructs for their future conversion into a private sector entity accompanied with eventual changes in percentages in membership fees and due payments in order to maintain the rights of those insured until their retirement.

The Minister noted the expansion in the use information technology in all social insurance sectors to upgrade services.  He noted that a large computer with an equally large storage has been delivered to the public sector employees’ fund in preparation for the setting up of a computer center in 6^th October City or the smart village.  A website has also been set to contain the e-government project through which services can be delivered to citizens in a more speedy and comfortable manner.
