Minister of Finance Dr. Youssef Bouros Ghali has signed an agreement with resident representative of the UNDP Jamesl Rawly to implement the second stage of the fiscal reform unit with a budget of 1.5 million dollars.

 The agreement aims as offering technical support to small enterprises and the central unit at the Ministry of Finance to organize a number of workshops to support the PPP projects and boost the technical cadres at the monetary unit; in addition to budget automation and e payment.
Minister of Finance Dr. Youssef Boutros Ghali has announced that the first stage of the agreement which began in 2001 and ended in 2006 is worth 1.8 million dollars and has been successfully completed.  He said the mission has called for focusing on economic development projects and prioritizing the standard of living of the lower social brackets.
Minister Ghali reiterated that the aim is also on budget automation expansion in 27 governorates and affiliate provinces
The agreement also calls for technical support to the fiscal policies unit which prepares the monthly financial data and encourages transparency particularly with regards to spreading exact information on investors’ data in efforts to encourage investments into the country .
Deputy Minister of Finance Manal Hussein has noted that the agreement also calls for the intrusion of technical assistance in workshops for employees at the Ministry of Finance and affiliated offices that deal with the budget  Mrs. Hussein noted that workshops deal with fiscal analysis and electronic trade, as well as teach international accounting methods and their impact on the government sector.  The workshops also evaluate real estate tax apparatuses, final statements and company financing as well as carry out an evaluation of the activities of government storage. The second stage of the project has a budget fo 1.5 million dollars continues till 2008.
