cancellation of advertisements on the Holy Quran Radio from Cairo
Al-Muslimani thanks Ministry of Finance and the Supreme Media Council for providing support
The Council of the National Media Authority, headed by writer Ahmed Al-Muslimani, approved the decision of the Committee of Gifts and Advertising Policies - of the National Media Authority - to transfer advertisements from the Holy Quran Radio to other radio stations affiliated with the Authority, and stopped broadcasting them on the Holy Quran Radio as of January 1, 2025.
Al-Muslmani thanked Engineer Khalid Abdulaziz for his great role with the Ministry of Finance in providing financial support that covers any possibilities of declining advertising revenues after being transferred to broadcast on other radio stations.
It is noteworthy that the Holy Quran Radio was established in 1964 and has more than 60 million listeners in Egypt and the Islamic world. The listeners of the Holy Quran Radio and the leaders of official religious institutions had filed many complaints after the commercials were broadcast thereon.
