Ahmed Amwi, Head of the Egyptian Customs Authority, affirmed Egypt’s commitment to strengthening technical and technological cooperation with international partners, foremost among them the Korea Customs Service, as part of the state’s plans to develop and modernize the customs system and support digital transformation. He said these efforts aim to improve the business climate and enhance the competitiveness of the Egyptian economy.

The remarks came during the signing of a memorandum of understanding with the Korea Customs Service to develop information and communications technology (ICT) systems within Egypt’s customs framework, facilitate and secure trade flows, and support the e-commerce system in line with the latest international standards.
