Minister of Finance Dr. Youssef Boutros Ghali has issued a new list for stamp tax including 39 items that detail the amended tax and which includes the elimination of a great number of stamp tax entailed by the older law.  The criteria is defined by the Minister of Finance.  In cases where complaints emerge from the taxpayer, the tax authority will study the complaint and will post the complaint to the appeal committee where no agreement has been reached.

Minister Ghali has announced that a number of facilities are offered by the new law including correction of the stamp tax during the calculation process and prior to the final declaration of the amount f tax.

The tax may be paid in installments to be paid in full by the end of February of each year.
