Head of the customs authority Galal Abul Fotouh has reiterated that dried milk and eggs will be subject to customs fees and will not be subject to the PM’s directives that calls for cancellation of customs fees on poultry and its derivatives, meat and fish. Mr. Abul Fetouh has explained that customs fees on dried milk are already subject to a discount estimated at 12% whereas children’s milk is estimated at 2%. Mr. Abul Fetouh has added that the customs authority is prepared to discount customs on dried milk received from the Ministry of Commerce and Industry which is the primary entity in charge of the case.  Mr. Abul Fetouh has been referring to demands posted by producers and importers of dried milk calling for cuts on customs on milk.
