Finance and Investment Ministers: Ports and customs operations to run at full capacity throughout the week to ensure stable foreign trade flows

Minister of Finance Ahmed Kouchouk and Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade Mohamed Farid affirmed that ports and customs outlets will continue operating at full capacity throughout the week to ensure the stability of Egypt’s foreign trade movement.

In a joint statement, the two ministers stressed their commitment to maintaining operational efficiency at ports and customs outlets, while adhering to energy rationalization measures in light of the current exceptional circumstances.

They noted that efforts are underway to reduce handling and storage costs in order to ease financial burdens on the business community.

The ministers added that the government is working to enhance the competitiveness of the national economy and strengthen the attractiveness of export-oriented industrial investment.

They emphasized the importance of coordination among all relevant entities and round-the-clock operations to expedite export procedures.

They further confirmed that the inspection of imports will continue daily until 6:00 p.m. to ensure faster clearance and facilitate trade flows.

In addition, electronic payment of fees has been made available, alongside the provision of all banking services related to customs operations around the clock through banks.
