In a Step to Facilitate Matters for Taxpayers, Finance Minister Approves Extending Payment Period for Real Estate Tax up till 15 July 2018 without Getting Fined -Tax service offices are open all week days up till 10 p.m. Finance minister, Dr. Mohammed Maait, agrees to extend payment period for real estate tax to 15th of the current July, without levying any extra fines on taxpayers. As ordered by the minister, tax service offices will extend their official working hours up till 10 p.m. all through days of the week, including Saturdays. Head of the Egyptian Real Estate Taxation Authority, Dr. Samia Hussein, notes that the minister's decision aims to facilitate procedures for property owners and comes in response to their increasing tax payment commitment, and in particular that of owners of units in the North Coast tourist villages. Dr. Maait has ordered all senior officials at the Authority to provide all facilitations and assistance for real estate taxpayers; namely, taxpayers resident in Cairo can now pay their due taxes on their North Coast properties at the premises of the Egyptian Real Estate Taxation Authority, says Dr. Hussein. Dr. Hussien has also praised property owners for their quick abidance to pay their due taxes to the State Public Treasury, confirming that all real estate tax service offices provide all necessary facilitations to avoid overcrowding of taxpayers especially during the current high temperature days.
