Speaking during a panel discussion titled "The State's Policy for Supporting Egyptians Abroad" at the Seventh Annual Egyptians Abroad Conference, organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates, Kouchouk said the government aims to make subscriptions to the fund simple and accessible while offering competitive returns and additional incentives for Egyptian expatriates.
The Minister revealed that the Ministry of Finance is working closely with leading investment banks in Egypt and abroad to finalize the procedures required to launch the fund as quickly as possible, noting that it is designed to provide Egyptians abroad with new investment opportunities and encourage greater participation in the country's growth.
Kouchouk also announced that the Ministry is collaborating with the Ministries of Industry and Investment and Foreign Trade to launch a fully integrated digital platform that will enable companies to be established quickly and easily.
The platform is expected to encourage Egyptians abroad to invest in their homeland by facilitating access to the investment incentives, tax and customs facilities, and economic opportunities available across priority sectors.
Highlighting the government's digital transformation efforts, the Minister stressed that every effort is being made to provide fully digital and user-friendly public services that make it easier for citizens both inside and outside Egypt to access government services. He added that artificial intelligence is being integrated into all services and facilitation measures to further simplify procedures and ensure accessibility in multiple languages.
Kouchouk noted that the Ministry has already launched a mobile application for real estate tax services, providing users with an end-to-end digital experience, including registration, tax return submission, exemption requests, and payment in any currency—a service that offers significant benefits for Egyptians living abroad.
He further announced that a dedicated mobile application for real estate transactions will be launched later this month as part of the government's ongoing tax facilitation agenda, providing additional digital services that will also benefit Egyptian expatriates.
The Minister added that three distinguished tax service centers have been established to promote a customer-oriented service culture, with one center already inaugurated in New Cairo. Looking ahead, the Ministry plans to introduce virtual consultation sessions for Egyptians abroad through these centers beginning next year, enabling expatriates to receive guidance and clarification on all tax-related services remotely.
