Finance Minister Ahmed Kouchouk expressed his great pleasure in holding a direct dialogue with young entrepreneurs, reaffirming the government’s commitment to reinforcing confidence, partnership, and support for the private sector. “Confidence is not just a word—it’s a reality we are working to transform for the better,” he said, stressing that the positive outcomes of the government’s package of tax facilitation measures are the clearest evidence of that transformation.
Speaking during his participation in the Techne Summit, held as part of Egypt Innovation Week 2025, Kouchouk noted that the Ministry of Finance is working to simplify procedures, ease tax burdens, and provide greater clarity for investors. He added that the simplified tax system—designed to provide various facilitation measures—has established a new and more inclusive approach to dealing with young entrepreneurs, small investors, and professionals.
The Minister revealed that a new, user-friendly tax guide for export service transactions is being prepared to support business clarity and compliance. He emphasized Egypt’s openness to successful international experiences across various economic fields, while underscoring the government’s commitment to applying only what fits Egypt’s capacities and conditions to ensure sustainable success.
Kouchouk explained that Egypt’s fiscal policies are focused on enhancing the competitiveness of the national economy and channeling revenues toward sectors that serve both investors and citizens. He pointed out that Egypt’s economy is characterized by healthy diversification and openness—both in terms of economic activities and international partnerships—highlighting that the private sector demonstrated strong responsiveness to fiscal and economic reforms, achieving 73% growth in private domestic and foreign investments during the last fiscal year.
For his part, Tarek El-Kady, Founder and CEO of Techne Summit, extended his appreciation to the Minister of Finance for his continuous support of entrepreneurship initiatives under the government’s tax facilitation program. He described the new tax guide for export service transactions as a vital step toward attracting more investment into Egypt’s startup ecosystem, reflecting the state’s strong commitment to promoting innovation and reinforcing Egypt’s position on the global investment map.
