Concerned with the financial crisis suffered by the Ismaili Football Club, which has great popularity in Egypt, Egyptian Finance Minister, Dr. Youssef Boutros Ghali, entrusted the head of the Tax Authority, Ahmed Refaat, with meeting with the club’s officials to discuss a solution for the long overdue taxes of the club with the purpose of alleviating the tax burdens in a manner that protects the rights of all parties. Refaat said he had already met with the club representatives and agreed on a solution according to the minister’s directives, given the club's massive popularity in Egypt. He added that the Authority extends all the facilities to all tax-payers and parties dealing with it, and it endeavours to find solutions to any tax problems in accordance with the law and the best interest of the tax-payers.    (Source: Ministry of Finance)
