Finance Minister: With Mandatory Air Cargo ACI Rollout Starting Tomorrow

USD 80 Reduction in “Automation and Related Service Fees” for Each Incoming Air Shipment

Ahmed Kouchouk, Minister of Finance, has issued a decision to reduce USD 80 from the fees charged for automation procedures and the verification of data contained in commercial documents submitted via the electronic platform, as well as related electronic services.

Under the decision, the total cost will be reduced to USD 95 per incoming air shipment, for a period of six months only, effective tomorrow, Thursday, January 1, 2026.

This comes in parallel with the launch of the mandatory application of the Advance Cargo Information (ACI) system for air shipments, starting tomorrow, Thursday, January 1, 2026, based on a proposal presented by Ahmed Amawi, Head of the Customs Authority.

The Minister affirmed that the Ministry of Finance remains committed to engaging with its partners in the business community with a high degree of flexibility and simplification, while simultaneously enhancing governance.

He noted that the ACI system plays a key role in strengthening governance of the Egyptian market, ensuring the entry of high-quality, standards-compliant goods, and deepening competition in a manner that serves the interests of citizens and supports national industry.
