Finance Ministry: Exceptional Economic Opportunities for Tourism Investment in Assiut
Ministry of Finance announced that the coming days will witness the launch of the second package of investment opportunities in the city of Assiut, featuring a prime location directly overlooking the Nile River — an unprecedented opportunity to establish sustainable tourism investment projects that support Upper Egypt’s development goals. The package also includes another site in the heart of the city, containing a building suitable for redevelopment and investment use.
According to a statement issued by the Ministry of Finance, this initiative comes as part of the government’s ongoing strategy to maximize returns from public assets and convert unused state lands into drivers of investment, growth, and development.
The Ministry invited investors, real estate developers, investment funds, and companies specialized in urban and tourism development to seize these opportunities and present innovative ideas that would revitalize the Nile-front area and the downtown core of Assiut.
These projects aim to reshape the city’s tourism landscape through new leisure and hospitality activities, while also introducing service-oriented ventures that meet the needs of the city and the governorate at large.
Ownership of both sites has been transferred to the Ministry of Finance under presidential decrees registered with the Real Estate Authority, and each site will be ready for handover once the competitive allocation procedures are finalized.
Information and data on both sites are available to the business community via the websites of the Ministry of Finance, the Egypt Investment Portal, the Egypt Investment Map, and the New Urban Communities Authority (NUCA).
