Head of the Egyptian Tax Authority has announced that a new system is applied in dealing with tax accounting firms that defines the accountant as that who follows the rules and regulations stipulated by law.  The latter definition will award certain privileges to the accountant  in the auditing operation as well as joining the meetings aimed at developing taxation.  Agreement  has also been reached  with the accountants’ sector at the traders’ syndicate to open tax services stations at accountants’ office to undertake the collection of tax returns and sending them via e-mail to those offices. He added that the agreement between the Authority and the accountants is one of the tax reform elements undertaken by the Ministry of Finance to encourage voluntary commitment to tax payments.  He said the new tax law will prevent tax evasion.
