- 180 million pounds issued in coins in 3 months to meet the high demand during the sale.   Mr. Sherif Sadek, head of the Mint Authority of the Ministry of Finance, assured that there are no plans for the authority for the production of new coins worth more than one pound.   He pointed out that the Authority issued during the past three months helping coins with value of 180.34 million pounds from one pound and the fifty piasters categories In order to meet the increasing demand for the change in the sale season as part of a plan to produce about one billion helping coins metal pieces.   He also pointed out that there is a constant coordination with the Central Bank in the process of coins issuance, where the central bank distributes coins on the commercial banks, pointing out that the public treasury Authority through its branches in the governorates also meet the needs of commercial companies and individuals of these helping coins.   (Source: Ministry of Finance)
