Minister of Finance Ahmed Kouchouk said Egypt has delivered positive economic performance indicators during the current fiscal year through a strong partnership with the private sector, highlighting the government's success in implementing flexible fiscal and economic policies that have balanced fiscal discipline with efforts to stimulate economic activity.

 

The remarks came during the Minister's meeting with Bertrand Dumont, Director General of the French Treasury, where they discussed opportunities to deepen bilateral economic and investment cooperation and support sustainable development.

 

He noted that the government is working to build a more competitive economy capable of attracting both domestic and foreign investment through a range of tax and customs incentives and facilitation measures.

 

The Minister also invited French companies to expand their investments in Egypt's strategic sectors, emphasizing the country's competitive advantages, abundant resources, and promising investment opportunities.

 

He added that Egypt remains committed to strengthening its partnerships with international financial institutions to develop innovative and cost-effective financing mechanisms that can better support the development agenda of emerging economies.
