The Minister to the House of Representatives: "2025/2026" budget is the budget of Growth, Stability, and Partnership with the Business Community

I take advantage of my presence among you on the occasion of the presentation of the new draft budget to affirm commitment to the four priorities of fiscal policies

Increasing spending on human development, social protection and programs to support priority groups

We aim for a positive transformation of the Egyptian economy that is reflected in improving the standard of living of citizens

A “partnership of trust” between the Tax Authority and the business community, and a balanced fiscal policy to drive growth and maintain financial stability, as well as reducing debt rates and burdens

We aim to broaden the tax base by stimulating voluntary compliance with a great deal of flexibility and support for taxpayers

The Tax Authority is changing to become a partner that preserves the rights of taxpayers just as it preserves the right of the State

If it were not for your support, our ideas would not have turned into a new reality that paves the way for the formulation of a simplified tax system that stimulates investment

 

Ahmed Kouchouk began presenting the new draft budget for the fiscal year 2025/2026 to the House of Representatives within the framework of an integrated vision of the state's public finances.

 

During the presentation of the financial statement of the new budget in the House of Representatives, the Minister confirmed to the House of Representatives that the budget of "2025/2026" will be "a balance of growth, stability and partnership with the business community": "We proceed from the reforms implemented and supported with a noticeable improvement in financial and economic performance during the past nine months. "I take advantage of my presence among you on the occasion of the presentation of the new draft budget to affirm commitment to the four priorities of fiscal policies, including increasing spending on human development, social protection and programs to support priority groups, as we aim for a positive transformation of the Egyptian economy, reflected in improving the standard of living of citizens, creating a "partnership of trust " between the Tax Authority and the business community, adopting a balanced fiscal policy to drive growth and maintain financial stability, and reducing debt rates and burdens."

 

The Minister assured that we aim to expand the tax base by stimulating voluntary compliance with a great deal of flexibility and support for taxpayers, pointing out that the Tax Authority has begun to change to become a partner that preserves the rights of taxpayers as well as the right of the State.

 

"Without your support, our ideas would not have turned into a new reality that paves the way for the formulation of a simplified tax system that stimulates investment" said the Minister addressing the House of Representatives.
