In an open dialogue with the head and members of the Egyptian Federation of Investors Associations and Institutions, the Minister added that the value-added tax refund system will be simplified, the amounts paid to taxpayers will be doubled, and incentive solutions will be provided to end tax disputes in old files, noting that fines do not exceed the original tax, and there is an advanced system for electronic clearing between investors’ dues and debts to the government, in a way that contributes to providing them with cash liquidity .

He added that a simplified tax system will be approved very soon for small and medium enterprises, entrepreneurship and professionals up to EGP 15 million, which will attract new taxpayers, as it includes incentives, exemptions and new facilities covering all tax bases (income, value added, stamp duty and state resources development fee), including exemption from taxes on “capital gains”, “dividends”, “stamp duty” and registration and documentation fees as well.

He assured that we are committed to expanding the scope and increasing the impact of financial policies on economic, production, industrial and export activities, explaining that 50% of exporters' dues will be disbursed in cash over 4 consecutive fiscal years starting from the current year, with a value of up to 8 billion pounds annually, and for the first time, exporters' dues will be paid in 2024/2025 during the same year, and that the first installment for exporters began to be paid in January 2025.

He pointed out that 50% of the arrears of these exporters will be settled through the clearing system with their old and future debts to the taxes, customs, electricity and gas companies.

He explained that industrial companies will begin to obtain easy financing facilities to support production lines in the coming weeks, noting that the state treasury contributes to financing this initiative and bears the interest rate difference, to increase production capacity and enhance economic growth.
