Minister of Finance, Ahmed Kouchouk, assured that we have chosen a different path for tax reform, "Trust, partnership and support for the business community," and that we are working to build a positive situation among our partners with the tax facilitation package, pointing out that we are very open to media communication by all means, saying: "We want our initiative to reach all people."

 

In the first meeting with the "influencers" on Social Media, organized by the Social Media Unit of the Ministry of Finance headed by Yusra Al-Qamah, Kouchouk added that "our concern" is to expand the tax base by stimulating "voluntary compliance" to attract new taxpayers, taking into account that the higher the number of taxpayers, the greater our ability to facilitate to everyone.

 

Kouchouk said: "The conviction and enthusiasm of my colleagues in the Tax Authority gives hope of success to our initiative with the taxpayers, ”he said, explaining that our country and economy need all our efforts together, and that the media has a very influential role in building tax awareness.

 

The social media influencers participating in this meeting expressed their thanks and appreciation to the Minister of Finance, saying: "The Minister listened to us and answered our questions until we understood the philosophy of the new tax path, and we will provide a full explanation to the social media pioneers about the perception, which began to change in taxes."
