Dr. Al Morsy Hegazy, the Minister of  Finance opens a conference on Saturday  “The proposed Tax laws amendments at the current phase “ , organized by the Egyptian Tax  Association, in cooperation with Sumid for Petroleum Pipelines , in Alexandria .

The Minister of Finance declared that he will announce in the conference the new initiative of facilities provided to tax payers, within the frame work of the efforts exerted by the Ministry of Finance and the government to enhance national economy, facing the current financial crisis.

He said that the developments of E- payments of taxes and customs dues will be revealed during the said conference, as the participating banks increased up to 30 banks. He also notified that he will also announce new channels for taxes E-payment, including the ability of E-payment through  1200 post offices, also the availability of an electronic site to know the payable tax value .

Osama Tawakol , the Head of  Large Taxpayer Center, indicated that the  organization of the conference is within Tax Authority’s efforts to communicate with tax community to recognize the problems and obstacles encounter taxpayers to solve.

He praised efforts of the accounting offices and tax experts which contributed in success of tax returns filing season, annually starts from January to the end of March for individual income returns, and to the end of April for corporate returns. He pointed that tax returns filing season, since the issuance of income tax law in 2005, it witnesses growth in returns' number and volume of the achieved tax revenue, even throughout the revolution.
