Minister of Finance, Ahmed Kouchouk represented the Egyptian government and rang the bell to open the trading session at London Stock Exchange, as a green light to start the proceedings of "Egypt Day" early.
"Markets work around the clock, same as Ministers of Finance," said Kouchouk. "Through the well-established London Stock Exchange, Egypt affirms launching the phase of "confidence, partnership and certainty" with local and international investors. Egypt also asserted commitment to the direct communication and fruitful dialogue with business community to explore new investment opportunity in the Egyptian market," added Kouchouk.
Kouchouk stated that the investment environment in Egypt is improving, where the private sector started to take the lead of economic activity, pointing out that the Egyptian economy achieved distinctive results last year, which led to recording huge initial surplus and high rates of export and growth.
"Together we start our day with promising horizons to build international partnerships that would boost the Egyptian economy," said Kouchouk to international investors.
