Head of Tax Authority: We exerted great efforts to bridge the gap of trust with taxpayers through a new concept based on facilitation and stimulation

As part of the proceedings of the conference held for announcement of initial results of the first package of tax facilities, Minister of Finance, Ahmed Kouchouk, urged the staff of Tax Authority to maintain partnership with tax community within the framework of confidence, clarity and certainty, pointing out that Tax Authority staff should keep working on this track which should be turned into a culture that prevails all tax locations. He said we started together the first step of tax reforms track, and we will continue to develop its performance.

 

"we renew our commitment to save no effort to gain satisfaction of taxpayers," said the Head of Egyptian Tax Authority, Rasha Abdel Aal. "We believe in the necessity of strengthening partnership with business community, as we exerted great efforts to bridge the gap of trust with taxpayers, through a new concept based on facilitation and stimulation, either through the accurate enforcement of the laws of tax facilities or through adoption of many procedures and initiatives that support this approach, pointing out that the first package of tax facilities achieved good distinctive results; furthermore, thousands of taxpayers achieved tax savings for their businesses, in view of dispute settlement and the threshold of fines that do not exceed the amount of the original tax," added Rasha Abdel Aal.
