The budget for the current fiscal year approved by the «House of Deputies» reflects the data of 59 economic bodies in the «General Government»

• Creating an organizational unit in the State Budget Sector to follow up and analyze the financial performance of economic bodies

• Preparation of semi-annual periodic reports and final accounts at the level of the General Government
• Following up on the achievement of the financial targets of the general government, and developing the preparation and implementation of budgets of economic bodies

 

 

Ministry of Finance has taken executive measures to implement the concept of the "General Government Budget", which includes the inclusion of the financial statements of all economic bodies, in light of the amendments to the Unified Public Finance Law, where an organizational unit was created in the State Budget Sector to follow up and analyze the financial performance of economic bodies, follow up the achievement of the financial goals of the general government and develop the preparation and implementation of budgets of economic bodies.

 

A statement by the Ministry of Finance said that the budget for the current fiscal year approved by the House of Representatives reflects the financial statements of 59 economic bodies in the General Government within the new concept of the General Government, explaining that the Ministry of Finance is committed to preparing periodic semi-annual reports and the final accounts at the level of the General Government, including all economic public bodies.

 

The statement pointed out that the financial indicators of the General Government of the State will be calculated on the basis of the revenues and expenses of the budget of the "General Government" that has been created, to include the budgets of all public economic and service bodies and the administrative bodies of the State and localities, so that the total expenses of the General Government reach 6.6 trillion pounds, and the revenues of which reach 5.3 trillion pounds for the fiscal year 2024/2025, in a way that reflects the efforts of the State in consolidating the principle of budget comprehensiveness, which helps us to show the complete financial image of the State, raise the efficiency of public spending and have a greater ability to deal more cautiously in the face of internal and external challenges, and provide a more equitable vision of the capabilities of the Egyptian economy, by indicating the broader capabilities of the State's public finance according to a more comprehensive objective view that includes the full revenues and expenses of the State and its economic bodies.
