Minister of Finance Dr. Youssef Boutros Ghali has reiterated that an agreement has been reached between the Ministry, the insurances sector and the World Bank for  technical facilities to restructure the pension system and to cap it with a new law.

Dr. Ghali has added that the Ministry is preparing a new insurance law based on detailed studies to fill out gaps in the current law and achieve the highest level of justice, in addition to caving in on the problem of calculating the value of pension based on the  average income of the employee over his last three years in service.

Dr. Ghali has said the new law will be more comprehensive and will include a greater number of beneficiaries while avoiding coercing the government with more burdens.
