The Tax Authority has agreed with the Bank Federation to design a permanent program aimed at solving pending tax issues with banks.  The statement was made by Mahmoud Mohamed Aly head of the tax authority who explained that the initiative was undertaken in response to complaints by the banking community raised to the Ministry of Finance. Mr. Aly announced that three joint technical committees have been formed to include experts from the tax and banks authorities to advise on solutions for outstanding issues.‏ The first committee will focus on income tax laws, the second committee will be comprised from heads of sectors from the finance companies and tax researches.
