Most taxpayers have voiced their approval of the new tax law saying they predict an improved economic performance in Egypt pointing to the confidence given to taxpayers and the acceptance of tax returns by the tax authority as an authentic statement until proven otherwise.  Citizens who have been questioned at random have said that streamlining the tax procedures has been the most conspicuous move.  Public opinion on the new tax law has been carried out by the cabinet data center throughout the country with 1443 participants over 18 years of age.
