Chief of the Egyptian Tax Authority has announced the setting up of a joint committee comprising both the tax and real estate authorities to streamline and consolidate efforts aimed at listing a data base of members of the tax community.  The idea is to consolidate a thorough list of real estate. Mr. Aly noted that a work group that will facilitate the job of the real estate tax authority to support the decision making process within the tax department. On his part, the head of the real estate authority has announced that the committee is a step forward to support coordination between the tax and real estate authorities. He noted that the real estate authority owns important information on real estate that can be used for the implementation of the income tax law on lease value on agricultural land or buildings.  He said no problems exist regarding double taxation.
