Dr. Youssef Boutros Ghali, Minister of Finance announced the activation of a new system for handling data on public expenditure electronically, In the framework of the mechanization of the preparation of budget, pointing out that linking the accounts of ministries and administrative units of the electronic state is being established. The Data exchange of the public expenditure of those authorities and ministries in mechanic way will help the Ministry to tighten control on public spending

The minister added that the project came as a prelude to activate the electronic payment systems of the state financial benefits for both suppliers and employees of the State administrative apparatus. And that within the e-government services, which are aimed at raise the efficiency of the public budget and cash-flow management of the public treasury in a better way. The Minister said that the Ministry of Finance carried out an integrated plan for the transition from paper-based system in the control of the allocation of the funds of the budget to the various points to the Automated System, and the mechanization of all phases of preparing the general budget will be completed soon.
