Head of the real estate tax authority has reiterated that committees for the re-evaluation of lease on agricultural property will assume work on January 1st in twelve governorates.  The efforts are part of an ongoing second phase evaluation in the governorates of Cairo, Kalyoubia, Sharqia, Dakahlia, Damietta, Ismailia, Suez, Kena, Menya, Assuit, Fayyoum, New Valley and Luxor City. The re-evaluation committee had been launched last September in Giza, Gharbiya, Sohag, Aswan and Menoufia.  A third phase is due to take place in January 2009. Real Estate employees have been merged with the Ministry of Finance in efforts by the Minister of Finance to deliver on his promise for treatment among all tax employees. (Source: El-Messaa)
