Head of the Egyptian Tax Authority Mahmoud Mohamed Aly has reiterated that the tax authority will continue to update its website and to use state-of-the-art technology in day to day operations. He said two new centers are being set up in the 6th of October City to store taxpayers’ documents and reinstate data flowing in from taxpayers including addresses of locations that outsource the incoming information. Aly said the object is to encourage the flow of information and documentation via the internet. Head of the IT sector Fathi Abdel Aziz said another center will print out the tax returns and the samples before its induction into the Tax Authority and prior to the process of delivering the samples to the taxpayers. The second stage includes monitoring the delivery of the documents and receiving confirmation that the e-payment has been reinstated and linked to sales. (Source: Al-akhbar)
