Minister of Finance Dr. Youssef Boutros Ghali has reiterated that the sales and tax authority will be finally merged in September in an effort to give a cohesive image for both authorities thereby impressing citizens with more efficient services.
Dr. Ghali added that a center for small and medium brackets of taxpayers will be set in line with the large taxpayers’ center which has been crowned successfully
Dr. Ghali explained in a meeting with tax officials that the merge is taking place following a number of studies in developed countries, assuring that the choice of adequate systems have followed those efforts in conjunction with experts.
The merge will take place in accordance with a set time and based on cutting edge technology.
