A unified law for tax procedures will be applied within six month to streamline tax collection.  The decision has been reached in the wake of the setting up of a new tax authority to prevent double taxation and/or procedures. Head of the Tax Authority Mahmoud Mohamed Aly explained that the unified tax law will encourage peaceful resolution of tax disputes.  Mr. Aly said the law is also an attempt to achieve transparency and spare valuable time. He added that a committee will be set to end disputes peacefully in effort to strengthen mutual confidence.  (source: Al-Akhbar)
