Head of the customs authority has announced that a data base storehouse has been set to facilitate the transfer of revised data among respective departments The head of the customs authority has explained that efforts are concerted on item 6 of the customs law and which is related to assembly industry in accordance with the GATT treaty. The customs law is being reviewed by the people’s assembly and will handle the risk department, intellectual property rights and  post revision to streamline global trade. He said e payment has led to a base increase of 700 million pounds in April and that the electronic payment system facilitates immediate payment of customs fees since outlets have been linked with Banque Misr and Al Ahli.  Over 30 banks are registered in the system. He added that a national training center at the cost of 400 thousand euros has been set through a grant in collaboration with the Swiss customs authority to polish  the performance of employees in the field of customs evaluation.   He said an international bid has been set among international companies in the customs authority to link ports and outlets in a matter of days using state of the art equipment.
