Head of the Egyptian Tax Authority has reiterated that the deadline for reconciliation on issues related to stamp duty tax will end August 1st and has called on taxpayers to expedite on wrapping pending payments. Mr. Aly said taxpayers with pending amounts of over 100,000 pounds are obliged to pay up to 60% of the amount for reconciling with the tax authority.  Taxpayers who owe less than 100,000 pounds must pay 30% of the amount to the Authority as a goodwill gesture.‏ He noted that he issued instructions to the different districts to take all measures needed to streamline tax payment procedures.
