Head of the Egyptian Tax Authority Ashraf al Araby has called for commitment of the taxpayers to issue a tax receipt for each sale of goods or taxable service. Al Arabi added that absence of tax receipt will constitute a tax evasion and will therefore by an act punishable by law. He noted that the tax calculation is based on the tax receipt. Al Araby called for filing of the purchase receipts to assist in the final auditing steps as well as in finding solutions to outstanding disputes.  He also called on registered taxpayers to notify the authority on the transfer of activities or any shifts in headquarters of activities with respective notification of tax offices.
