Insurances must be paid by employees on loan for the term of their leave of absence and vacations

Minister of Finance Dr. Youssef Boutros Ghali has reiterated that insurances must be paid by employees on loan for the term of their leave of absence and vacations. Payments must be paid to the social insurance on the length of the stay by the employee or his deputy and on each year separately within six months from the return date to avoid paying a 1% fine monthly from due date and until end of pay.
In cases of special leave, the insured can make a choice of sustaining membership over the duration of leave. Payments may consequently be made in installments or in a single payment. If payments are not collected then the person in charge of the work can cut the insurance amounts from the monthly pay of the employee up till pension date.
Head of the social insurance organization Mohamed Talaat Ismail said that if and when the insurance amount is due while the insured person has not yet paid any of the installments, the latter or the beneficiaries may be allowed to pay the due amounts within a month.
