Minister of Finance Ahmed Kouchouk affirmed that expanding goods and services exports is among the top priorities of Egypt’s fiscal and economic policies, as the government continues its efforts to strengthen production, enhance competitiveness, and promote export-led growth.
Speaking during a meeting with a delegation from UK Export Finance (UKEF) in London, Kouchouk highlighted the substantial opportunities for growth in Egypt’s outsourcing exports, supported by the rapid development of the information and communications technology (ICT) sector and its increasing contribution to economic activity.
The Minister noted that the government is working to expand export support programs and direct them toward high-potential sectors capable of opening new global markets for Egyptian products and services, thereby strengthening their competitiveness in international markets.
Kouchouk emphasized that partnerships with British institutions contribute to improving the structure of economic growth by increasing reliance on productive and export-oriented sectors as key drivers of sustainable development.
He also pointed to promising joint investment opportunities between Egypt and the United Kingdom in several strategic sectors, including industry, renewable energy, and infrastructure, stressing the importance of building on the strong economic ties between the two countries to deepen investment cooperation.
The Minister further underscored Egypt’s aspiration to connect Egyptian exporters with global platforms and international value chains, enabling them to expand their businesses, accelerate growth, and strengthen their access to foreign markets.
