Head of the tax authority Mahmoud Mohamed Aly has inaugurated a number of tax guidance centers in Upper Egypt. In the wake of a tour of the governorates of Fayyoum, Bani Swaif, Assiut, Sohag, Kena, Luxor and Aswan, Mr. Aly noted that the current season for receiving tax returns reflects the solid performance of the tax departments and its impact on the tax returns and the temporary tax base.  Mr. Aly reiterated that the tour is an attempt to increase awareness of the new law while noting that the number of returns have increased by 40%.     (source :Al-ahram)
