Minister of Finance Ahmed Kouchouk Inspects Premium Tax Service Center in New Cairo
Egypt’s Finance Minister Ahmed Kouchouk conducted a visit on Thursday, April 2, 2026, to the Premium Tax Service Center located at Sodic EDNC Administrative Complex in New Cairo, as part of ongoing efforts to enhance the tax system and improve the quality of services provided to taxpayers.
The visit was attended by Rasha Abdel Aal, Head of the Egyptian Tax Authority; Yasser Sobhi, Deputy Minister of Finance for Fiscal Policies; and Ibrahim Sarhan, Chairman and Managing Director of eFinance Investment Group. During the visit, they toured the center and reviewed its operational mechanisms and service delivery model.
During the inspection, the Minister emphasized that the center operates using the latest systems and advanced technologies, enabling real-time handling of taxpayers’ requests, reducing processing time, and improving overall efficiency.
The center is supported by an integrated digital ecosystem, including a dedicated application that allows taxpayers to book appointments in advance. The system also enables pre-assessment of cases, identification of required documents, and preparation of files prior to arrival, ensuring fast and seamless service upon entry.
In addition, the center is staffed with a highly trained and specialized team that provides immediate support to taxpayers, offering guidance, clarifications, and full assistance to ensure a smooth and efficient service experience.
The initiative has been implemented in cooperation with eTax, which delivered the center’s digital infrastructure to the highest standards, reflecting the government’s commitment to leveraging advanced technological solutions in public service delivery.
Ibrahim Sarhan affirmed that the quality of tax services will be measured based on taxpayer satisfaction rates, noting that feedback from the tax community will support continuous development through eTax and the introduction of new services at premium centers.
Meanwhile, Khaled Abdel Ghany, CEO of eTax, said that premium tax service centers represent a qualitative leap that will enhance taxpayer satisfaction, adding that more advanced and innovative services will be introduced to attract new taxpayers and support the voluntary expansion of the tax base.
For her part, Rasha Abdel Aal stated that, for the first time, the Egyptian Tax Authority will authorize eTax to deliver certain tax services, in a move aimed at facilitating procedures for taxpayers. She added that premium tax service centers will be supported by highly qualified personnel to immediately resolve any technical challenges and ensure fast and efficient service delivery.
The visit comes as part of the Ministry of Finance’s broader strategy to modernize tax service centers, enhance the taxpayer experience, and accelerate digital transformation, ultimately fostering voluntary tax compliance.
