EGP 73.4 billion for the Egyptian Authority for Unified Procurement, with an annual growth rate of 92.4%, to enable the authority to pay companies' receivables and maintain the quality of service at hospitals and healthcare centers

Minister of Finance, Ahmed Kouchouk, affirmed that the Ministry succeeded in managing public finance in a flexible manner, as it cooperated and coordinated with all state agencies to address challenges and meet citizens' needs. He pointed out that EGP 73.4 billion were allocated to the Egyptian Authority for Unified Procurement, with an annual growth of 92.4%, to enable the Authority to pay companies' receivables and maintain the quality of service at hospitals and healthcare centers.

 

In a press conference, Kouchouk indicated that the Ministry of Finance provided around EGP 440 billion to address energy issues, secure petroleum products, and pay the receivables of foreign partners, which reflected positively on the stability of electricity generation, avoidance of power outage, and the provision of energy sources for all productive and investment activities.

 

"EGP 94 billion was allocated as "collaterals" to support and develop transportation sectors and accelerate the implementation of projects that stimulate the movement of goods, trade, and tourism," said Kouchouk. "EGP 74.1 billion was allocated as collaterals for the National Authority for Tunnels, and EGP 13.5 billion was allocated as collaterals for the National Railway Authority to develop services in favor of citizens," added Kouchouk.
