Minister of Finance, in a meeting with members of the French Chamber of Commerce and Industry: Egypt’s economy offers diverse, attractive, and increasingly competitive investment opportunities focused on manufacturing and exports.
The business climate is improving, and we invite our local and international partners to expand their investment activities in Egypt.
Our goal is to attract investments across various productive, export-oriented, and technological sectors and position Egypt as a hub for production and exports.
We aim to reduce the debt-to-GDP ratio of budgetary entities to below 80% by June 2026.
We have a clear and more ambitious strategy to improve government debt indicators, based on innovative tools and coordinated efforts across all state institutions.
The private sector has proven its competitiveness and has successfully led economic momentum in Egypt.
A 73% increase in private investments last year reflects the injection of billions of pounds into economic projects.
We have chosen a path of trust and partnership with the tax community and continue to simplify procedures to encourage voluntary compliance.
A 35% increase in tax revenues last year, without imposing new burdens, reflects improved economic activity and strong private sector responsiveness.
We are working to create new fiscal space to strengthen social protection and increase allocations for human development.
Social spending is being increased, with resources directed toward vital sectors such as healthcare and the treatment of critical cases.
Thank you to the private sector—together, we are moving in the right direction to enhance the competitiveness of our economy.
