  The tax authority has agreed with the bank federation to set a permanent mechanism for dissolving outstanding tax issues.  Head of the tax authority said the step is in response to the banking sector’s demand. The head of the tax authority said that three technical committees have been formed to organize a practical solution for outstanding taxes. The first committee will study contentious issues on income tax between banks and the tax authority. The second committee will study the application of tax Law on stamp duty tax.‏ The third committee will study sales tax laws. (source :Al-ahram)
