Head of the customs authority Galal Abul Fotouh said that the structure of the new customs department will accommodate a number of new sectors to support a new vision for effective channeling of manpower.  The idea is to formulate a sector for strategic planning and initiatives and  another technology department.  Twelve workshops will also be organized in collaboration with international specialists in modernizing and structuring customs layout.  Minister of Finance Dr. Boutros Ghali has launched the new overhaul in its final form including the work plan.  In another development, a national training center is also being set up in coordination with the European Union and will be supplied with state-of-the-art facilities to enhance performance among customs employees.
