Finance Minister: Delighted to See All Egyptians United Behind Our National Team That Has Made Us Proud

 

Minister of Finance Ahmed Kouchouk announced the issuance of a silver commemorative medal celebrating Egypt’s national football team following its historic qualification for the FIFA World Cup knockout stage for the first time.

 

The medal marks this landmark sporting achievement, which has brought Egyptians together in unwavering support of their national team.

 

Expressing his delight at the team's success, Kouchouk said: “I am truly delighted that our team has reached the knockout stage and that all Egyptians have come together to support our national team, which has made us proud.”

 

He added: “May God be with every player and every member of the national team's technical staff. God willing, our team will continue to succeed, and the best is yet to come.”

 

Gamal Hussein, Head of the Treasury and Mint Authority, said the commemorative medal will be struck in 900 fine silver and will feature a distinctive design that combines the symbolism of this historic global sporting achievement with the richness of Egypt’s ancient civilization.

 

He added that the medal will be available for purchase through the Treasury and Mint Authority’s official sales outlet starting mid-July.
