The Egyptians customs authority has introduced a draft agreement on bilateral ties with its Chinese counterpart aimed at combating damages resulting from disobedience to customs statutes and legislations. Head of the Egyptian customs authority Galal Aboul Fetouh has announced that the agreement will support bilateral ties and will limit illegal trade in drugs, weapons and nuclear arms. Aboul Fetouh has announced that the agreement includes support through the exchange of information on transportation of goods, commercial and administrative documents as well as other information related to the value or destination of the goods. Abul Fetouh pointed to communications channels between both  customs authorities to pave the way for swift capture of smuggled goods and punishment for law breaking. Aboul Fetouh also noted that China is the third country that agrees with Egypt on an apt methodology on the restructuring of  trade exchange and on combating violators. The agreement complements a visit by President Mubarak to China on further technical exchange and upgrading human resources. (source :Ministry of Finance)
