Minister of Finance Dr. Youssef Boutros Ghali is expected to issue a list of amendments on stamp duty law in efforts to iron out procedures and activate savings and investments.  The law on stamp duties is considered a big break for the new tax law and is seen as an improvement on the taxation idea. New amendments on the stamp law have been passed by the People’s Assembly to alleviated burdens on companies and taxpayers.  Over thirty regulations on stamp duty law have been abolished and which have been basically charged on companies and banks.  (source:Al-Ahram)
